> Getting an autism diagnosis can feel uncertain.
> We make it clear what happens at every stage.
At Diverse Diagnostics, your assessment is led by a psychiatrist or clinician who specialises in autism. We use structured, evidence-based tools and take time to understand you as an individual. Our process is calm, predictable, and transparent so you always know what to expect.

You can start with our short online screening. It takes about five minutes and helps you understand whether autism traits might apply to you.

At Diverse Diagnostics, only our team of experienced psychiatrists with specialised expertise in child ASD lead the assessments but each ASD assessment does involve Clinical Nurse Therapists, Psychologists and Neurodevelopmental Therapists.
Our assessment includes a comprehensive review of the individual’s medical history, behaviour, communication skills, and cognitive functioning to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
The whole process is split over 4 appointments and can take a few hours to complete.
Our assessment focuses on diagnosis and intervention strategies. If medication is recommended, it will be discussed as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Yes, our assessment can provide insights into how ASD may impact academic performance and offer strategies to address these challenges.
University: Eligibility for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) with appropriate evidence.
Workplace: Stronger basis for reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 (e.g. interview format, quiet workspace, flexible communication).
Access to Work: May support applications for job coaching, equipment, or travel help.
Healthcare: Helps your GP and other services tailor care (e.g. sensory-aware appointments, clearer communication).
Everyday clarity: A shared language to explain needs and preferences to family, school, or employers.
A diagnosis doesn’t change who you are and it’s not mandatory to access compassion or support — some support is needs-based.
It doesn’t guarantee funding; decisions depend on individual assessments and local criteria.
We’ll be clear about what a diagnosis can and can’t unlock in your situation.
