The whole process is split over 4 appointments and can take a few hours to complete.

Yes, our assessment can provide insights into how ASD may impact academic performance and offer strategies to address these challenges.

What a formal autism diagnosis can help with

  • School & exams: Evidence for SEN support, reasonable adjustments, and (where appropriate) EHCP applications.
  • University: Eligibility for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) with appropriate evidence.

  • Workplace: Stronger basis for reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 (e.g. interview format, quiet workspace, flexible communication).

  • Access to Work: May support applications for job coaching, equipment, or travel help.

  • Healthcare: Helps your GP and other services tailor care (e.g. sensory-aware appointments, clearer communication).

  • Everyday clarity: A shared language to explain needs and preferences to family, school, or employers.

Also useful to know

  • A diagnosis doesn’t change who you are and it’s not mandatory to access compassion or support — some support is needs-based.

  • It doesn’t guarantee funding; decisions depend on individual assessments and local criteria.

  • We’ll be clear about what a diagnosis can and can’t unlock in your situation.
