About Dr Basra

Dr Jagdish Basra is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist and the founder of Diverse Diagnostics, where she has been Medical Director since 2022. She qualified in medicine at the University of Leicester in 2010 and completed her psychiatry specialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry in Scotland, joining the GMC Specialist Register in that specialty in 2018.

She spent fourteen years as a doctor in the NHS, from 2010 to 2024, and was a clinical consultant psychiatrist within the NHS. Her clinical experience covers a wide range of mental health conditions in children and young people, including ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression.

Outside the clinic she works as a guest lecturer and wellbeing facilitator in professional sport, teaching on the UEFA Pro Licence course and delivering personal development sessions for coaches, players and other sports professionals with football associations including the IFA and FAI.
